# Michael Straeubig aka crcdng Michael Straeubig, also known as crcdng, is a transdisciplinary theorist and practitioner with a focus on systems theory, playful design, and posthuman perspectives. He received a Master's in Computer Science from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and a PhD in designing playful systems as a Marie Curie Fellow from the School of Art, Design, and Architecture at the University of Plymouth. As a game designer, Michael has produced a wide range of experimental and avant-garde projects in various media such as large-scale event games (Grand Tour, 2006, APO Fest 2007), an experimental board game co-designed with the "Weilburg 7" collective (Eine gegen Eine, 2009), location-based mobile games (Tidy City, 2008, Secret City Season I: Missing Max, 2013, KlingKlangKlong, 2014), and multiple theatrical interactive apps and installations for Theatre Erlangen, Theatre Dortmund, and Furtherfield Gallery. Michael has taught Creative Coding and Game Design at Leuphana University Lüneburg and Nanjing University and held a Lecturer position in Game Design at the University of Plymouth. As a digital dramaturge, he contributed to Regie KI, an experiment involving artificial intelligence at Theatre Düsseldorf (2021). Since 2021, Michael has been a contributor to Teia, an art community, where he has acted in various roles, including collector, artist, curator, and developer.
